Teignmouth, aptly described as the Jewel of Devon, is a characterful seaside town and one of few that still has its traditional Victorian pier. The pedestrianised, level town centre has an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and patisseries.
The train station is only a mile away and there is a bus stop just outside the cottage. The beach at Teignmouth is a 15 minute walk through Mules park. Enjoy a stroll along the promenade and admire the well-maintained Victorian facades. Follow the promenade to the east, from which the distinctive iron-oxide rich red rocks rise up to form the steep cliffs, and you will be walking alongside the route of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Atmospheric railway.
The quaint and cosy village of Shaldon lies to the west and can be reached either via the bridge or via the historic Teign pedestrian ferry. Our largest room on the first floor with a wonderful view of the sea and a separate seating area. This room can be either a twin or a kingsize.

This room has lovely white wood panelling an unusual bay window, interesting fireplace and two comfortable armchairs.
